When I received the invite to bowl against some of the teams we used to bowl as part of the old Portage-Summit Conference, I jumped at the chance to do it since Twin Star Lanes is where Districts are going to be held......... We have done well there in the past and thought some more lane time couldn't hurt.
Rootstown, Kent Roosevelt, James A. Garfield and Stow-Munroe Falls HS getting together for a Quad Match.
We got off to a great start and took a 36 pin lead over Garfield. Some really great bowling, starting with Anthony Daymon 183, Mike Edwards 196, Sean Thomas and Tyler Meredith with 224's and Brent Botzer 227......1054 total
Our second game got more exciting when Brent started out striking the front nine on his way to a 278 and finishing with a 505 series(his highest) Followed by Sean 222, 446 series, Tyler 213, 437 series, Mike 202, 398 series and a 171 added by Andrew Borsi we finished with 1090 and a 2140 total going into Bakers.
The Boys...... Andrew, Anthony, Brent, Eric, Mike, Pat Sean and Tyler the rolled games of 166, 201 and 220 = 589 in Bakers for a total combined score of 2729 and 1st place.
