Stow gained control of the dual meet from the first race, as the 200 Medley Relay team of seniors Dylan Fox, Travis Wolfe, and Alex Yeh, along with sophomore Jeremy Wentz, took first place in a time of 1:49.65. Finishing in 3rd place was Jacob Earle, freshman, Greg Dyer, sophomore, Nick Brenner, senior, and Jeff Swenson, junior in 2:01.37.
Wolfe went back-to-back wins when he won the 200 yard Freestyle in 2:04.84 Juniors, Jacob Marzec (2:09.22) and Swenson (2:26.97) finished 3rd and 4th.
It was a 1-2-3 finish for the Bulldogs in the 200 Individual Medley, when sophomore Joe Freudeman 2:16.65), senior co-captain Alex Wentz (2:18.70) and freshman Mason Gabriel (2:30.63) swept the Riders.
Senior co-captain Logan Gabriel finished the 50 yard Freestyle in first place time of 23.96. Yeh finished second in 24.35, and freshman Cameron Potter finished fifth in 27.75.
The lone mens diver, freshman William Sheppard, earned a well-deserved 2nd place finish in the 1 meter dive. His score of 111.68 is indicative of his hard work to improve his skills.
Brenner, Wolfe, and Fox swam to another 1-2-3 finish in the 100 yard Butterfly recording times of 1:01.94, 1:02.45, and 1:04.66 respectively.
The 100 yard Freestyle race was another example of the Bulldog dominance as Jeremy Wentz (53.11), Yeh 54.55), and Earle (1:01.41) raced 1-2-4.
The grueling 500 yard Freestyle was swept by the Stow swimmers of Freudeman (5:34.49), Dyer (5:36.25), and junior Greg Oneacre (5:46.82) finishing ahead of the Kent swimmers.
The 200 yard Freestyle Relay was won by the team of Wentz, Yeh, Wentz, and Logan Gabriel in 1:35.91. The team of Mason Gabriel, Fox, Marzec, and Oneacre finished 3rd in 1:44.15. And freshmen Parker Gabriel, Chris Blohm, Willy Donahue, and sophomore Joe Wisniewski wrapped up the race in 5th place with a time of 2:09.83.
Dylan Fox continued his success by winning the 100 yard Backstroke in 1:02.16. Marzec (1:11.46) and Parker Gabriel (1:14.45) finished 3rd and 4th.
Alex Wentz (1:09.82) and Brenner (1:10.74) finished 1-2 in the 100 yard Breaststroke, while Parker Gabriel (1:24.99) finished 6th.
The mens 400 yard Freestyle Relay was swept, 1-2-3, by the Stow teams. In first was Logan Gabriel, Oneacre, Jeremy Wentz, and Brenner (3:40.64). In second was Parker Gabriel, Freudeman, junior Gallen Marchotti, and Dyer (4:03.81). Finishing 3rd was the team of Potter, Wisniewski, Swenson and Marzec (4:21.95.
