Stow finishes 10th at Districts
Stow vs District Tournament (N/A, 352)After a rainy fall season, the weather was finally a perfect day for golf as the lady bulldogs tried to advance to the state championship for the first time in school history. The field was stacked with teams that we had played throughout the season during our tournaments and we knew we would have to play our best round of the year to advance. The site was the Legends of Massillion and the top 5 team scores and top 5 individuals would advance to the final week of the season in Columbus. Stow's final score of 352 was 20 shots out of the 5th place qualifying spot, but it was a great effort and our second lowest team score of the year. We had 3 seniors that finished their high school careers today, Amanda Watts (87) Megan Jennings (88) and Kendra Frazier (92)- thank you ladies for your leadership and team spirit this year. Julie Kim was team medalist shooting her season low score of 85 and Taylor Griffith rounded out our team scores with a 99. Thanks to our "biggest fan" who also came out to support us and keep the team focused ! Thanks for a great year ladies, it was a pleasure being your coach this season. We accomplished alot in a short amount of time this year and I am proud of you all....

Lady Bulldogs Advance to Districts
Stow vs Sectionals (N/A, 365)Even though it was a sunny day today, rain throughout the previous week left Gleneagles literally underwater in most areas. It was a great team effort today that required patience and composure through a long day. The bulldogs teed off at 8:30 am but had to wait till almost 5:15 until all the other teams finished to learn they had qualified. The team score of 365 placed 3rd in the event of 16 teams and the top four teams advanced to districts next Tuesday October 11th where we will play at the Legends of Massillion with tee times starting at 9:00am. Senior leadership led the way, Megan Jennings (88), Amanda Watts (89) and Kendra Frazier (94). Sophomore Julie Kim rounded out the team score also shooting 94 and Taylor Griffith was close behind with a season low 96. Brecksville won the event with a score of (349), Walsh finished 2nd shooting 353 and Hudson was the last team qualifier with a score of 384. The ladies are peaking at the right time and hopefully with another good week of preparation we can break through to the state championships. I am really proud of you girls, keep up the good work-coach.
