Stow vs Ellet at Firestone Districts (L, 0-2)
Stow comes up short against Ellet in District Final
It was a tough afternoon at the plate for the Lady Bulldogs against a very good Ellet pitcher. Although Chelsea Carlson also pitched very well for Stow, allowing only 4 hits while striking out 10 batters, the Stow offense could only manage one hit in the contest...a lead-off single by Stephanie Little in the second inning. The Lady Bulldogs stranded 7 base runners in the contest on 4 Ellet erors and two walks, but was unable to get any runs across the plate. This loss ends the season for Stow with a 19-10 record and a second place finish in the league.

Stow vs Nordonia (play-off game) (W, 2-1)
Stow earns victory over Nordonia
The first game of the State High school Tournament for 2010 was at Stow's field against a familiar opponent in the Nordonia Knights who the Lady Bulldgos were victorious against just a week ago in a league game. It was another pitcher's duel as the game was scoreless until the bottom of the fifth inning. Stephanie Little led off the inning with a walk for Stow. After Michelle Kelley went in to pinch run for LIttle and advanced to second on a wild pitch, Chelsea Carlson came through with an RBI single to right field to score Kelley. Annette Fetter entered to courtesy run for Carlson and was advanced to second base on a well executed sacrifice bunt by Megan Baumgardner. Next up, Morgan Springford hit a long shot over the left fielder's head for an RBI double, scoring Fetter to add the second run of the game for the Lady Bulldogs. This was all the scoring Stow would need. Nordonia scored a single run in the seventh inning, but the Lady Bulldogs, behind the strong pitching of Carlson, who recorded 11 strikeouts and only allowed 2 hits, won the game to advance in the tournament to face Hudson in the District Semifinal game at Firestone Stadium. Stow's three hits on the night included the single by Carlson, the double by Springford and a sixth inning pinch hit double by Courtney TIller.
